Day 1: Transfer from Kathgodam Railway Station to Nainital On arrival at Kathgodam, you will met assisted and drive to Nainital (Flight/Train details to be advised) - a glittering jewel in the Himalayan necklace, blessed with scenic natural spledour and varied natural resources. Dotted with lakes , Nainital has earned the epithet of ` Lake District ` of India . The most prominent of the lakes is Naini lake ringed by hills . Nainital has a varied topography . On arrival check-in at the hotel and relax. Day free for local sightseeing. Overnight stay in Nainital. (Note: while you are going for local sightseeing, entrance / activity fee is not included)
Day 2: Explore Nainital After breakfast, The name Nainital is derived from an old temple of Goddess Naina Devi on the shore of the lake. The origin of the temple is shrouded in mystery. Visit Snow View Peak, at an altitude of 2270 m, situated on top of the Sher-ka-danda ridge. A ropeway or cable car ride is the best-known way to access the snow viewpoint. Just as the name implies, one can view the snow laden Himalayas from this view point. Also visit Naini Peak, also known as Cheena Peak, situated at 2,611 meters above sea level. Later, visit Dorothy’s Seat, which provides picture perfect views of Nainital and its surrounding regions. Dorothy’s Seat is a picnic spot built in her memory by her husband and well-wishers after her death. Then proceed to Land`s End, to enjoy spectacular views of Khurpatal and its surroundings. Next, proceed to the State Observatory of Nainital, which is devoted to astronomical studies. The primary objective here is to provide national optical observing facilities to carry out research in the areas of Astronomy and Astrophysics, and Atmospheric Sciences. Lastly, visit Hanumangarhi, popular for its spectacular view of the sunset. There is also a temple dedicated to the Hindu God Hanuman.
Day 3: Nainital to Ranikhet After breakfast, drive to Ranikhet – means Queen’s meadow. In 1869 the British established the headquarters of the Kumaon Regiment here and used the station as a retreat from the heat of the Indian summer. Till date, it is home to the Kumaon Regiment and bristling with good old-fashioned military atmosphere, spreads over rolling green hills with some lovely views over the distant Himalaya. Upon arrival, check-in at the designated resort and relax for a while. Later on, visit some of the major attractions like the Jhula Devi temple, Golf Course and Haidakhan Temple, Chaubatia Orchard and Kalika temple. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Day 4: Explore Ranikhet Day at leisure - You have a free day today. After breakfast, you are free to visit places of your choice by yourself to make your trip memorable. Day 6: Bhimtal to Corbett After breakfast check out from hotel then drive to Corbett National Park. The park was named after Jim Corbett, the legendary hunter-naturalist turned author and photographer who spent most years of his life in this area and helped set up this park. Check-in to your hotel/resort. Evening free for sightseeing covering Garjiya temple and Corbett fall. Dinner and overnight stay in Corbett. (Note: while you are going for local sightseeing, entrance / activity fee is not included)
Day 7: Explore Corbett Jim Corbett National Park, which is a part of the larger Corbett Tiger Reserve, a Project Tiger Reserve lies in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. The magical landscape of Corbett is well known and fabled for its tiger richness. Established in the year 1936 as Hailey National Park, Corbett has the glory of being India`s oldest and most prestigious National Park. It is also being honored as the place where Project Tiger was first launched in 1973. This unique tiger territory is best known as the father who gave birth of the Project Tiger in India to protect the most endangered species and the Royal of India called Tigers. In order to promote tourism in the region Corbett National Park has been divided into five different zones. These are the marked buffer or core area of the park where visitors can be part of wildlife safari and can enjoy the intriguing behavior of the animals with bare eyes at proximity. After breakfast one can enjoy the early morning safari in the national park. Later back to hotel and breakfast. In the afternoon you can visit Garjiya Devi Temple and later enjoy the Corbett Waterfalls. Back to hotel by evening. Overnight stay in Corbett. Day 8: Transfer to Kathgodam Railway Station from Corbett Day at leisure - You have a free day today.
